Story Synopsis:
Nine strangers accept an unusually high-paying offer to participate in a private sleep experiment conducted inside an isolated underground research facility known as Somna Labs. The rules sound simple: remain awake for nine consecutive nights while scientists monitor the effects of prolonged sleep deprivation on human consciousness.
At first, the experiment feels controlled and professional. The participants are given luxury rooms, constant medical supervision, and promises of life-changing compensation after completion.
But by the third night, things begin to feel wrong.
People start hearing whispers through silent hallways. Clocks stop at exactly 3:17 AM every night. Security cameras capture participants speaking to empty corners. Some volunteers begin remembering conversations that never happened, while others wake up standing in places they never walked to.
Then one participant disappears from a locked observation room.
The researchers claim nobody left the facility.
But after the disappearance, the group realizes something terrifying:
There are still nine participants inside the lab.
Someone — or something — is now inside the experiment with them.
And the longer they stay awake, the harder it becomes to tell the difference between dreams, memories… and reality itself.
